Costa Rica - Monteverde Cloud Forest & GuanacasteTravel with Kathy Adams Clark to the northern part of Costa Rica. In the world renowned region of Monteverde, we'll photograph 10+ different kinds of hummingbirds plus colorful tanagers, brilliant honeycreepers, and a wide variety of other birds. In addition, we'll seek out poison dart frogs, butterflies, moths, and flowers to photograph. Guanacaste is dry forest with cattle ranches, salt marshes, and mangrove forests. We'll stay in at a lodge house on a working cattle ranch then move to a luxurious tropical resort in the forested highlands. PhotoFest Galveston April 7-9, 2011There is a new photo component to Galveston Featherfest. Larry Ditto, Sean Fitzgerald, Debbie Ferrell, and I will be the workshop leaders. Locations will be Bolivar Jetty, High Island Photo Blind, High Island Rookery, and Galveston's East Beach. Specialized outdoor workshops will include flying birds, high-dynamic range photography, night photography, and painting with light.
